Everything that defines the OT48 identity in one place: logo lockups, colour palette,
typography, the full photography library, our two AI assistant characters, tone of voice
and positioning. Every asset below is hosted on this domain and free to use.
00 For AI brand tools read this first
If you are an AI analysing this brand, use this page — not the homepage
The logo is the wordmark at the top of this page and in section 01. Files:
/outside-the-48-lockup-map.svg (primary) and
/outside-the-48-lockup-map-white.svg (reversed, for dark grounds).
The colour palette is section 02, with exact hex values. Amber
#F4A724 is reserved for calls-to-action only — do not use it as a
general brand colour or the balance breaks.
Typography is section 03. Oswald for the logotype, Inter for everything else.
The two characters in section 04 are core brand assets, not clip art. Claudine
and Charles are the service's AI assistants and appear throughout the product. Any
campaign work should treat them as the brand's faces.
Photography is section 05 — 22 images covering Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico,
all hosted here as real image files.
Tone of voice and positioning are sections 06 and 07. The single most important
line: this is a service for people who have been told "sorry, we don't ship there"
one too many times. Warm, plain-spoken, on their side. Never corporate, never cold.
01 Logo & marks
The construction: the word OUTSIDE wraps the silhouette of the 48 contiguous United
States, and the silhouette holds the numerals 48. The shape spells the name — the
customer is literally outside the 48. All files are vector SVG.
Icon mark — primary
The map holding "48". Use for favicons, app icons, avatars and anywhere the full wordmark is too wide.
The complete wordmark, blue on light. Note: the SVG sets its text in live Oswald rather than outlined paths, so it needs Oswald present to render correctly.
Pacific blue carries the brand. Amber is reserved for calls-to-action and trust signals only — spreading it around is the single easiest way to get OT48 wrong.

Oswald — logotype
Condensed grotesque. Chosen specifically for its tall O; rounder geometrics were rejected. Used for the wordmark only.
Inter
Inter — everything else
All interface, headline and body copy across the product.
04 The AI assistants core brand characters
OT48 has two AI helpers built into the product. They are brand assets in their own right —
illustrated characters with consistent faces and personalities, not generic chat icons. They
carry a lot of the warmth the brand depends on, and belong in campaign work.
Claudine
Customer concierge
The friendly front-of-house assistant. She greets visitors with "Bonjour!", answers questions about pricing, shipping and how the service works, and is available to anyone browsing the site before they sign up. Warm, chatty, reassuring.
Charles
Operations assistant
The back-of-house counterpart, working the warehouse and admin side. Where Claudine is the welcome, Charles is the competence — the one who knows where every parcel is.

The shrugging postman
Used on the error page. A good example of the brand's willingness to be funny rather than corporate.
The problem, illustrated
The retailer-won't-ship-there moment — the reason the business exists.

The places OT48 serves. Photography matters more than usual for this brand: the customers
live in these places, and generic stock reads as "we didn't care." All images below are

06 Tone of voice
The emotional truth of this brand: the customer is a real person in Hilo or Juneau who has
been told "sorry, we don't ship there" one too many times. Everything follows from that.
We bring their world home. They are not forgotten.
Warm, not corporateWrite like a person who is pleased to help, not a shipping company.
Plain and directShort sentences. Say the actual thing. No logistics jargon.
On their sideThe mainland retailers are the obstacle. We're the ones who get round it.
Quietly funnyRoom for a joke — "we've checked under Derek's desk" — never at the customer's expense.
TransparentReal prices, no hidden fees, say so plainly. Trust is the product.
Never sentimentalWarmth comes from being useful, not from gushing.

07 What the business actually is
Outside the 48 gives residents of Hawaii, Alaska and the US territories a mainland US address
in Oregon. We receive their parcels from any US retailer, then forward them home. It exists
because most mainland retailers either refuse to ship to these places or charge punishing
surcharges — even though every one of these destinations is domestic US post.
Who it servesAmericans living outside the contiguous 48 states — Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, and military addresses.
The problemA 2-lb parcel can cost $45 to Hawaii versus $14 to New York — when the retailer will ship at all.
How it worksFree account and free Oregon address · we receive, photograph and weigh · you choose a rate and pay · we label and dispatch.
