Note: Oswald 200 is the skinny one you asked for — surprisingly elegant at large size. Bebas is taller/narrower than Oswald; Anton is the brute. Tell me tomorrow which one your idea wants and I can outline it to SVG.

The shape spells its own name
Map enlarged ~50%, with the whole "the 48" set inside it — "the" to the left of an oversized "48". The badge stops being a box and becomes the country saying who it's for.

Read: The big version is the one to judge — and I think you're onto something: the map holding "the 48" is far more complete than the old box. It's a self-contained mark that works alone (favicon, app icon) AND tucks into the wordmark. In the lockup it's still tight — but unlike Lab 7's version, the meaning survives because the "48" is large enough to anchor it. This may be the strongest direction yet. Tomorrow: try "the" in amber, try the skinny Oswald 200 "48", and test it as a standalone icon.
